A Better Way is an active collaborator in the Alameda County Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership (ACCIPP). The purpose of ACCIPP is to improve the lives of children of incarcerated parents through increased awareness, improved programs and policy reforms. This partnership, formed in 2010, includes social service providers, representatives of government bodies, advocates and others.

Sesame Street recently partnered with advocates for children of incarcerated parents to create a toolkit to help service providers and caregivers to support these children. On November 13, ACCIPP is providing a FREE half day training on Sesame Street’s newly-released DVD and Toolkit Project “Little Children, Big Challenges: Incarceration.” More information about this public training is available here.
