Working with System Involved Youth: Artful Awareness - Using Art and Mindfulness Practice to Support Conscious Calm Presence
This three hour workshop will introduce participants to using art and mindfulness practices in their work with at-risk youth. The trainer will use and teach art exercises as well as deep breathing with muscle tension/relaxation to help participants become mindful to the body’s regulatory processes and states. By practicing through various art activities and mindful exercises, participants will be able to help youth become aware and practice ways to regulate their feelings and emotions through mindful practice.
