A Family Reunited by Hope

Marcus was living with a foster family, and his parents, Maria and James, were doing everything they could to bring him home.

Everyone loved each other deeply, but visits were hard. There was sadness, frustration, and so much left unsaid.

Then they began working with A Better Way’s Therapeutic Visitation Services (TVS). In those first few meetings, their clinician helped the family find the courage to talk about what had happened and what they needed to heal.

Little by little, walls came down.

Marcus found his voice, and his parents listened with open hearts. There were tears, laughter, and a growing sense that love was still there, waiting to be rebuilt.

As the weeks passed, Marcus began to smile more. He looked forward to school and talked about his dreams for the future. Maria and James learned new ways to stay calm and connected, even during tough moments.

Now, the family has unsupervised visits, and reunification is on the horizon. They talk about family dinners, weekend outings, and a new beginning filled with understanding and love.
